On the 8th of April Swedish FinTech Association presented the second edition of the fintech report - "A Growing Industry Despite Challenges". The report shows that the Swedish fintech continues to grow but that some of the industry's challenges have become clearer as a result of the pandemic.
The Swedish fintech industry continues to grow and now consists of more than 450 companies that employ over 10,000 people. 91% of the companies plan to expand their operations in 2021, and there is a great need for recruitment as 93% of the companies plan to recruit in 2021. Several Swedish fintech companies are strong internationally and the industry has good future prospects.

The report highlights five themes that are of importance for the industry's development in the years to come: the industry’s situation due to Covid-19, the need for recruitment, how the industry is affected by policies and regulations, access to financial infrastructure and the issue of sustainability.

Branschföreningen Swedish FinTech Association presenterar torsdagen den 8/4 den andra upplagan av fintechrapporten – ”en växande bransch trots utmaningar”. Rapporten visar på att svensk fintech har en fortsatt hög tillväxttakt men att vissa av branschens utmaningar har förstärkts i och med covid-19-pandemins utbrott under våren 2020.
Den svenska fintechsektorn fortsätter att växa och består nu av mer än 450 bolag som sysselsätter över 10 000 personer. 91 procent av bolagen planerar att utöka sin verksamhet under 2021, och det finns ett stort rekryteringsbehov då 93 procent av företagen planerar att anställa under 2021. Flera svenska fintechbolag står sig starkt internationellt och framtidsutsikterna för branschen är goda.

Rapporten lyfter fem områden som är extra viktiga för branschens utveckling de kommande åren;
Hur branschen har klarat av covid-19-pandemin, rekrytering, policy och regleringar, den finansiella infrastrukturen och hållbarhet.
